Look Good
Feel Better Program
The hospital’s Gynecologic Disease Center and Hematology and Oncology clinic are working with the American Cancer Society’s Look Good
Feel Better program to provide complementary makeovers to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
The Look Good Feel Better program is a national, non-medical and product–neutral program that is free of charge to women undergoing chemotherapy. LGFB’s intent is to help women cancer patients learn to cope with the appearance side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments by teaching them techniques to help restore their appearance and self-esteem.
At WRAMC, LGFB certified cosmetologists “make up” patients using vendor-donated products such as cosmetics, wigs, scarves and accessories. Various products used by LGFB cosmetologists are on display in the Gynecologic Disease Center Boutique, located in room 6741B on Ward 67. Events take place every other month.
