LTC(P) Scott Rose, M.D.

Dr. Rose is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he majored in human biology and was an Army ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate. He attended medical school at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and did his medical specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tripler Army Medical Center. Dr. Rose trained in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California at Irvine prior to joining the faculty at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC).

Dr. Rose is actively involved in collaborative basic science research in the area of ovarian cancer tumor immunology. Currently, his research is centered on erythropoietin and erythropoietin receptor expression in uterine malignancies. He is the Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at WRAMC and an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Rose is also the Tri-service Principal Investigator for The Gynecologic Oncology Group, a National Cancer Institute sponsored cooperative research group. As such, he assists in the local enrollment of patients on national protocols and supervises the enrollment of patients at affiliate institutions in Portsmouth VA, San Antonio TX, and San Diego, CA.
